About the Hotel
The Omni Mount Washington Resort is one of America's most storied grand resort hotels — a spectacular 1902 Spanish Renaissance structure at Bretton Woods in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where 44 nations gathered in 1944 to create the Bretton Woods international monetary system and the International Monetary Fund. Mount Washington (6,288 feet, the highest peak in the northeastern United States) rises directly behind the hotel, with the cog railway ascending its slopes visible from the resort's verandas. The spa features Finnish sauna, steam, and Nordic-style thermal pools designed for the White Mountains' extreme seasonal temperatures. Bretton Woods ski resort offers New Hampshire's largest ski area in winter; in summer, the Mount Washington Auto Road provides access to the summit.
